What's next to see "TWILIGHTERS"?

The other day, while watching The Expendables with my husband and my dad, we saw this really funny trailer of Vampires Suck, a movie spoof for Twilight Saga.

Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca's friends contend with their own romantic issues -- all of which collide at the prom.

This is really really good, I wanna see this movie! All the Twilighters out there should see this movie, the trailer made me laugh for the whole 2 minutes of trailer and I think this could really be the best comedy movie of the year!  I wonder if Kristen S. and Robert P. will watch this. Oh, you look at Jasper, that was really really funny!

Enjoy!

Movie: The Expendables

The Expendables

Ratings:

★ ★ ★

My thoughts:

This is an action-war movie directed by Sylvester Stallone and this is about a group of highly-trained Mercenaries, called The Expendables. Their main mission is to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator.

It was a great HARD action movie and a must watch for every man out there.
I enjoyed the movie but it was not a date movie girls. So don't say I didn't warn you. However, if you want to make your boyfriend or husband happy, go watch it. Well it has funny moments, I liked it a lot when the boys are making fun of each other and i love their names, especially Christmas.

One thing I find in this movie so funny was the love story (if that's what you call a love story) in it. Imagine, these Mercenaries could kill easily but have soft spot in their hearts and i think i saw someone cry in this movie because of a girl, or maybe i'm hallucinating because I was busy "texting" haha.

So hurry, watch watch watch!

Note:

I just read in the news today that Van Damme was supposed to be included in this movie but he declined. Here's why:

Why Was Jean-Claude Van Damme Deemed Expendable for 'The Expendables'?

I think I'm being followed . . . .

Yes, I am being followed. Yay! So far, since the last blog hopping, I now have 36 followers! Well its not much compared to my fellow bloggers but for me, i think it's great! I'm not really into blog hopping before but now I'm hoping to do this every Friday (or Saturday my time!)

As you can see, I have no entries since last Friday or since my birthday July 30! I have been busy with work, family and some crazy stuff at home - that includes re-arranging furnitures, cleaning our room and checking old toys and anything old that should be thrown out or given to those in need.

About the question:

How many books do you have on your 'to be read shelf’?

Well I'm currently reading Storm Born and Thorn Queen both by Richelle Mead. And next would be Blue Bloods by Melissa dela Cruz and The Boy Who Changed The World by Andy Andrew. I also have Midsummer Magic by Catherine Coulter which I borrowed from my best friend and the latest one I bought from Book Sale - The First Wives Club by Olivia Goldsmith.

So that's it. Join the fun by hopping to other bloggers out there. Just leave your name and link so I could check out your blogs too!

TV Series Review: Harper's Island

HARPER'S ISLAND (TV Series)

★ ★ ★ ★

My thoughts:

If you are a suspense-series-addict, then this is for you! I watched the WHOLE series in 1.5 day, yay! I liked the ending, it was totally unexpected. Yeah, love it!

About the TV series:

HARPER'S ISLAND is about a group of family and friends who travel to a secluded island off the coast of Seattle for a destination wedding. This island is famous for a streak of unsolved murders from seven years ago. Although they've come to laugh and to love, what they don't know is they've also come... to die. As the wedding festivities begin, friendships are tested and secrets exposed as a murderer claims victims, one by one, transforming the wedding week of fun and celebration into a terrifying struggle for survival.

In every episode, someone is killed and every person is a suspect, from the wedding party to the island locals. By the end of the 13 episodes, all questions will be answered, the killer will be revealed and only a few will survive. - CBS (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/harpers_island)

Stars: Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, and Chiwetel Ejiofor

Ratings:

★ ★ ★ ★

My thoughts:

I definitely enjoyed the movie (and my birthday ... sweet!). I like Angelina and Liev a lot here. The script was well-written and it will keep you guessing who the good and bad guys are in this movie. It was really entertaining and worth seeing! Come on guys, watch it!

About the movie:

Before becoming a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. She will prove loyal to these when a defector accuses her of being a Russian sleeper spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture, protect her husband, and stay one step ahead of her colleagues at the CIA.

Movie Review : Sliver

SLIVER

Director: Phillip Noyce
Stars: Sharon Stone, William Baldwin and Tom Berenger

Ratings:

★ ★ ★ ★

My thoughts:

A very good suspense, sexy, erotic thriller movie. It was released in 1993 and I was 13 years old then! So glad I was able to watch this... a good movie!

About the movie:

Phillip Noyce directed Joe Eszterhas's adaptation of Ira Levin's novel about voyeurism, starring Sharon Stone as Carly Norris, a book editor on the rebound from an emotionless seven-year marriage. Carly decides that a change of location will help her in the healing process, so she moves into a sleek Manhattan high-rise. In her new apartment, she meets a collection of curious neighbors --Vida (Polly Walker), who snorts cocaine along with ingesting all the dark secrets of the building and its tenants; Jack Landsford (Tom Berenger), a successful writer who also wants to also be successful with Carly; and Zeke Hawkins (William Baldwin), Carly's new landlord. Carly is attracted to Zeke, but she sees that he is hiding something from her. Unbeknownst to Carly, Zeke, an obsessive voyeur, watches his tenants from a bank of television screens at his headquarters. But when Carly discovers Zeke's voyeurism, she herself becomes obsessed with the daily lives of her neighbors

Movie Review: The Back-up Plan

The Back-up Plan

Directed by: Alan Poul
Stars: Jennifer Lopez, Alex O'Loughlin

Ratings:

★ ★ ★

My thoughts:

I love love love Alex O'Loughlin. Remember him, Mick St. John - the main cast in the TV series, Moonlight? Aww he's sooo cute and has a killer smile (human or a vampire).  He's the only reason why I watched this movie (I'm not really into JLO).

It was a good comedy movie. Funny and sweet but the story line was very predictable. I had a good laugh but I'd still give it a 3-star rating. I do hope in the future, Alex would have good movies, would not hurry to accept any offer that comes his way.

About the movie:

"Zoe's a woman who has a hard time letting anyone into her life. She has a habit of pushing people away when they get close. She also wants to have a baby but because she has no man in her life decides to be artificially inseminated. Shortly after having the procedure she meets a guy named Stan whom she connects with. But she's still afraid to let him in and when she tells him about her pregnancy thinking he would bail but he sticks with her." - imdb.com
